Today, we’re happy to announce that journalist David Sirota is joining the Jacobin team. As part of the new partnership, we’ll be supporting Sirota’s new newsletter, Too Much Information.

Sirota’s newsletter will focus on corporate malfeasance, money in politics, and the growing crisis of inequality in the United States. Sirota will be assisted by writer and researcher Andrew Perez, a former collaborator at IBT and Newsweek.

Before joining the Bernie 2020 campaign, Sirota was an award-winning journalist and best-selling author. His reporting on corruption, pensions, and taxes garnered him two awards from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. He was also the winner of the Park Center’s Izzy Award and was a finalist for a Loeb Award.

Sirota and Perez join a team of more than two dozen editors and staff writers. Jacobin now reaches 56,000 subscribers and reaches over 2 million online readers every month.

The new issue of Jacobin, “Pandemic Politics,” will be released on Tuesday, May 19.
