The Jacobin World Cup Jersey

We made 100 football jerseys to celebrate the World Cup and support our work.

We’re producing a limited run of jerseys to celebrate the World Cup.

Our productivity here at Jacobin will be dropping dramatically over the next few weeks. Like Eduardo Galeano, when good football happens, we give thanks for the miracle and don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.

We imagine a game liberated from corrupt FIFA officials and capitalist sponsors, that has its democratic spirit secured for generations to come.

For now, we’ll watch the World Cup as it is. And we wanted to celebrate the occasion with a jersey made in cooperation with our friends at Africa Is a Country. They weren’t initially going to be sold, so just 100 have been produced.

The jerseys are union-made and of really great quality and all the proceeds go toward supporting Jacobin and Africa Is a Country‘s fine work.
